Duplex in Charenton

March 6, 2019

Renovation of a 30m2 apartment with an extension in the attic space in order to create a more spacious and more luminous living space in double-height, but also two small rooms and a working area on the gallery. From concept to execution, this is an architecture project I did with my business partner Kevin Bian.

The stairs are designed as a decorative element that holds a hidden wardrobe and some shelves.

The existing kitchen was extended with a bar area with storage. This new element is highlighted in a pastel blue color.

The access gallery to the two attic rooms serves as a working area, and is a space that communicates with the living area on the main floor.

Skylights were positioned in a way to augment the standing area under the roof slope.

The project was chosen by the clients among three initial propositions via Archibien.
